Mark Newman from the UK asks us for help in finding his fathers old boat. This boat, the Elvira II , an Trintella I was in 1964 "Boat of the Year" at the Londen boat show and must therefore have been build in 1963 with yardnumber 313 . Among the photos there are some of the exhibition and other where the boat can be seen in the harbours of Willemstad and Veere as we still knows these harbours today
Later his father wanted to make another trip to the Netherlands but the boat was hit by a big wave on the way, and his father and another crewmember were thrown overboard. Although they were taken out by a helicopter his father died later in the hospital of Ostend. In 1965 the boat was sold and went from Brightlingsea near Colchester to Falmouth where the new buyer had a mooring. Mark would like to know where the boat is now.
