The spring meeting edition 2022 in Willemstad and Stellendam will continue this year, after being postponed twice, during the Ascension weekend of May 26-28.
The programme
On Ascension Day, 26 May 2022, we gather in the old harbour of Willemstad. After a formal reception with drinks on the dock (and some bitterballen), dinner will be served in one of the many restaurants near the dock: Bellevue. There is no better location!
On Friday 27 May we will sail to Stellendam. During the parlay on the Willemstad docks, you will learn what the regatta will be looking like. Because of the distance, limited bridge openings of the Haringvlietbrug, and the expected west wind, it will be one with competitive elements. There will be no evening programme; people can do their own thing, but experience teaches us that we will find each other for some fun.
There will be plenty of time to meet each other on boats Saturday morning 28 May. If you’ve always wondered what one of those big Trintellas would look like or are you curious about the perfectly shiny lacquering of a classic, or why people enjoy their centre cockpits as much as they do: this is your shot! Climb aboard of one of the ships, recognisable by the brand-new TVK vane, which will be handed to the participating ships.
During the afternoon, we can visit bird observatory Tij or to seal sanctuary A Seal.
The final dinner will be held at restaurant Basta near the marina. During dinner, we will have the traditional award ceremony.
The costs
Costs for participation in the entire programme are €75, - per person. If you’re only joining for the buffet on Thursday or the dinner on Saturday, the costs will be €37,50 per person.
We ask you to sign up as soon as possible and transfer the amount by 15 May at the latest. All details can be found in the sign-up sheet.
